'Warm regards to all your Spurs fans out there. After a tough few weeks its important to keep faith in such a wonderful football institution with the hope that your loyalty will be rewarded in the near future.

At the moment I am signing approx 20 packages a week with lots of cuttings, cards, and photos enclosed. Of course I am delighted that people still want my autograph but am quite concerned as to the motive and use of these signatures. During the last month I have signed everything requested as I have done for the last 35 years, but in reply, asked that in future i would charge £10 for 5 ordinary signatures (on cuttings) and £20 per 5 signatures on photographs or plain cards. Even in this short space of time I've already had a very positive response.

Cheques should be made payable to E.C.F.C School of Excellence and I guarantee that 100% of any money sent will be used to help out our clubs Youth Football Development to continue its fantastic work in extremely difficult circumstances. Our centre helps improve over 200 local boys in an under privileged football area despite losing its funding having lost our league status over 3 years ago.

Lastly I feel that I'm entitled to ask for the above to help such a worthy cause, close to my heart, bearing in mind the increase in sales opportunities of such signed items on the internet auction sites. I hope you agree or at least understand my decision'.
